Cadillac cts 2nd and 3rd gear car jerks

Ok i have a 2006 cadillac cts 3.6L v6 and when i accelerate
it jerks hard when am between 2nd-3rd gear . So i think it is
the shifter solenoid or something . Then i went to a place to
check the transmission and they told me it had little metal
shavings on it and need a rebuild transmission. So i dont
know if i could fix it by my own or where exactly is located?

All transmissions with any mileage will have metal shavings. The question is just how much. Do you have a check engine light on? How old is fluid? Have you kept service on it? Is fluid full? There is a cold level and hot level. Have you changed filter in transmission? Do not flush it if it has never been changed or over 100K. Drop and refill and change filter.

you can get a second opinion but I think your tranny is on it's way out , you can baby it at those shift points but that'll get old fast ,, don't know if you're able to remove and replace but if you're asking these questions you're not going to rebuild it yourself
