Some airbag lights can be reset with a scan tool. But if you haven't fixed the underlying problem the light will immediately come back on next time you start it up. Plus, the airbag computer is keeping track of how many times you start your engine with the airbag light on. If you get into an accident and someone is injured in your vehicle because the airbags didn't fire, you will be held liable.

Try pressing the trip odometer reset button to acknowledge the message. Don't hold it, just press it. Hope that helps! Jim
