Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just had the infamous seam on the
drivers seat repaired. The upholstery guy
installed the seat. Everything on the seat
works fine only problem is now the
steering wheel doesnt raise and the seat
doesnt move back after I shut the car off
and open the door to exit. Please help.

The steering wheel moves if I use the switch on the side of the column and the seat moves if I use the switches on the side of the seat. They just dont automatically move when I shut the car off and open the door. I checked the setting and both features are turned on.

When you shit the car off and open the driver door the seat should move back to ease exiting the car and the steering wheel should raise but it doesnt.

Look in the manual under 'cancel or activate seat synchronization function'. Per the manual you have it in Park, ignition in ACC position. Then push and hold 'Set' switch on the driver door for 10 seconds, until it blinks (once for cancel, twice for activate).
