You are driving in 4WD on dry pavement? DON'T!!!

4WD is not meant for continuous driving. Only use it when you are stuck or mudding. As F_O_R said, DO NOT use it on pavement. I know you will be tempted to use it in snow and ice, don't UNLESS you are stuck. The gears are not built to turn sharp, 4WD and AWD are geared differently, you can drive AWD whenever wherever, NOT 4WD. So that sound you hear in a sharp turn is the gears not lining up and skipping as they are not meant to turn. Turn it off!
My 2010 ram pickup makes a grinding bucking noise when in 4 wheel drive. it only happens when I make sharp turns. I seems to be coming from the rear end
