Another EJ25 from 2010 will probably work. The reason you can't get a straight answer is there are always small (or big) changes from year to year.

So you think that the 2010 legacy 2.5 will work in my 2009 Impreza 2.5 ? I did notice a wishbone looking front mount on the 2010 legacy 2.5, the Impreza 2.5 does not have this, I guess the main concern also is the wire harness and that it wouldent have to be modified..Anyone who wants to add to this, Im all ears since this particular engine is kinda pricey!! Thanks for any input, much appreciated!!

Im pretty sure yes.. I no for sure my Impreza is and looking at the Legacy it appears to be the same minus front motor mount

Another question I have, is the 2009 EJ25 Engine without turbo exactly the same as turbo minus the turbo? Seems to be a abundance of turbo charged , is it possible to just remove turbo and swap over intake from the non turbo so that way I wont have a engine light issue>?
