Bought a 2010 CR-V with odometer reading 99k, but Carfax reported 180000 miles

Hi all, i just bought a 2010 Honda CR-V
EX-L with odometer reading of 99000
miles, today i brought it to a Honda
dealer for an used car report, including
Carfax report for extra $35. Carfax
reported 180000 miles. Could anyone
tell me how could this happen? Any
suggestions are so appreciated.  -Mike

You might have a legal case against the seller of the vehicle. Contact carfax or your attorney.

Contact your states DMV office to report odometer tampering. Next time have the car inspected BEFORE you buy!
