Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The heater of my 2010 Honda CRV is blowing AC cold air but not warm or hot
air.  I have switched it back and forth but it stays on AC.  the mechanic says he
has to run test to find out what is wrong but charges $140.

It could be the blend door under the dash, the actuator may be bad

Thank you for your feedback. The Honda dealer says if I repair the heater the diagnostic costs goes towards the total repair cost. I was looking to see how much it cost to repair it if it's the blend door under the dash or the actuator. thanks so much; I appreciate it.

Thanks Mike, the first tech that looked at it looked under the dash and found nothing wrong and said he had to do the diagnostic test to determine the problem and quoted me $99 for the test.

That still seems a little pricey to me unless you live in Vegas. That might be right for where you live but I'd try another mechanic.
