Air Conditioner will not cool. Just warm air blows

Asked by Sherry Aug 29, 2016 at 09:47 AM about the 2010 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Ford Escape. The air conditioner was working fine and then the next day, it just stopped cooling.  It blows warm air.  All the speeds work just fine on it.  It just does not cool.  For it just to stop cooling, wha could be wrong?  Any help?  P:LEASE?

It may just need a charging. Autozone can check that for you, usually, and a simple kit can cost around $50 and extra charging canisters will be needed to bring up the pressure. I believe that vehicle has the quick connection in engine bay. Good Luck, stay cool!!

You most likely have a bad blend door actuator. Some time after the vehicle sits the actuator may work again, but only for a short time.
