Ok so i just replaced my waterpump n my
thermostat in my 2010 buick enclave drove 20
mins on highway my heat worked but my temp
gauge lowered 1 then 2 knotches got of the
highway parked my car but i didnt shut it off my
heat turned cold and my gauge went back to the
middle started to drive it got hot again and temp
gauge started to lower again does any1 know
whats causing this

Air in system. Bleed it again. Try putting front of car higher than back so bubbles will go towards radiator cap. Also did you use OEM thermostat? Install it with bleeder nipple up?

Bleed air from system like this remove cap from overflow tank fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle you will notice level in tank start to rise this is normal once thermostat starts to open level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back on.

I sent it back to the mechanic with a screen shot of ur answers they bleed it again i got it back and its doing the same thing could it be anything else im not sure if they put an oem thermostat i brought them one from advanced auto

I would also have the system pressure tested. You may have a slight leak somewhere. If not an external leak you could have an internal leak. (Head gasket)
