Check your owners manuel for the reset. I've had four vehicles wth this feature and the procedure for each is different. Normally one does not simply hit the reset button, but a combination of presses over a few seconds.

ON THAT SENSOR UNIT IN THE CENTER LIKE UR CONSOLE WHICH IM SURE U HAVE DONE BUT JUST INCASE THE RESET BUTTON THAT MOST OF THOSE MESSAGE REQUIRE U TO HIT TO RESET EX. ECONOMY UR MILES TO GALL. IS NOT THE SANE THERE IS ANOTHER ONE U R TO PUSH EACH TIME U DO THE OIL CHANGWE IT AT LEAST ON MIONE IS THE VERY LAST ONE TO THE RIGHT U NEED TO HOLD DOWN FOR 4 SEC IT RESETS SO IT CAN KEEP TRACK OF THE LIFE OF UR OIL SO IT CAN TELL U WHEN ITS DUE FOR A CHANGE. IT WONT HURT ANYTHING TO PUSH THAT EVEN IF U DONT CHANGE OIL U NO U NEED TO CAHNGE IT AND CANT THE TRUCK DOESNT REALLY NO U DIDNT SO RESETG THE WHOLE THING. THE OTHER RESET BUTTON WILL ONLY RESET THE OTHER DATA AND TEMP RESET THE OIL DATA BUT UNLES U TELL THE TRUCK THE OIL HASNT BEEN CAHANGES IT IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO REMIND YOU UNLESS U LIE TOL IT....2000 E.B F.E LAST BUTTON TO THE RIGHT 4 SEC WALAA 100% LIFE ON UR OIL JUST A LITTLE WHITE LIE U TELL UR TRUCK. IT ISNT THAT SMART TO NO UR LIEING BBUT U DO CHANGE IT AS SOON AS U CAN THO AND THEN RESET IT AGAIN SO IT DOESNT LIE BACK TO U
