A/C stopped working completely

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This morning, my ac worked fine. On the way home from work, it stopped working completely. I don't hear the compressor nor does the blower turn on. The A/C led doesn't light up but the others do (see pic below). I checked all the fuses and all are good. Any ideas what might be going on?

I checked the fuse box under the hood. I only noticed two fuses which were labeled air condition system in the book. Which relay should I check?

The relay is usually labeled a/c or compressor ... and if not did u check the fuse inside the cab?

I just checked all fuses, in and out of the car just to be sure I didn't miss anything. I'm not sure what to check on the relays, so I just read across the coil on all of them and got the same readings ohm wise. I even checked the relays behind the console inside the car as I read there are relays there as well.

The relays have to be engaged to get a proper reading i think some auto stores may be able to check the relay

Thanks. Could the speed selector in the middle have anything to do with it as well? I’d love to be able to work on this but have no diagrams to work off of.

Yea sorry for not following up. It ended up being that "speed selector" I suspected. It's called a blower control switch. You can probably find one in a junk yard. I bought mine on ebay for around $60 and that was for the entire assembly with all 3 knobs. Takes about 5 minutes to install. Hope it works out for you.

I have a 2010 Corolla as well that has the same problem. It worked one minute and then the next nothing. The AC light does not come on, the fan doesnt cut on, the compressor doesnt cut on, heat doesnt work, and the heat doesnt work. What's going on?

My wife has a 2015. AC has been temperamental, sometimes it works, sometimes it only blows on low even if knob is on high. Past two afternoons it doesn't start working until 20 min into our 45 min commute home. I checked fuses a couple months ago when problem happened first time and they were fine. Wondering if there's a shortage somewhere?

I have a Toyota Corolla 2010. My A/C blower suddenly went out one day in traffic. Similar to the OP, only two of the main lights turned on. I checked the fuse of the AC and it was fine. Eventually I came across YouTube and followed the guide of the following video: https://youtu.be/qa0Oi8do_tQ .Turns out it was the HVAC Blower Control Switch (look up your specific model from the https://parts.toyota.com/). The video helped out alot for me, and roughly took me 1.5 hours to complete.
