What is the easiest method to remove and replace the driver side interior lock/unlock button switch?

The door panel has to come off. It's fairly easy to remove the door handle/lock mechanism after that. They sell used on Ebay for $50, you can probably find one in a local pull-a-part for $5-10. There's no "easy" way to remove a door panel. Find and remove all the screws along it's edges and in the armrest area. Then use a plastic pry bar to pop the plastic rivets attaching it to the door itself. Lift it out from the bottom to unhook it from the window track. As you tilt it out from the bottom, reach in and detach the wire harness from window controls. Then you can get to the door handle/lock/unlock buttons.
