Electrical System on 2009 3-series
When starting the car in weather that is below freezing or close to it, there
are lots of electrical system warnings and certain things -- windshield
wipers, for example -- don't consistently work. There is a clicking sound
coming from the glove box area. Not of this happens in warm weather.
A mechanic friend suggested that it was a problem with the fuse box and/or
electrical relay. I took it in to a shop and they confirmed that there was
water damage in the fuse box and the electrical system. They were going
to try to find the source of the water and initially thought that this would
solve the problem. Now they are saying that the whole electrical system
might be faulty (not sure why they would say that now). Any experience with
this? How do I work to get this taken care of?
