Battery draining and busted door lock?

Asked by Guru1XJWN Sep 02, 2019 at 05:19 PM about the 2009 Honda Odyssey Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Back in June someone tried to break into my Honda Odyssey.  It appears
they took a screw driver and hammer to my door lock.  Ever since then when
I double tap the key fob the van will lock but it won't beep the horn and every
3-4 weeks my battery is completely dead.   Are these two related?  I have
since had the battery replaced and the alternator and starter were both
checked and are ok.  Also, does anyone know how much the lock will run me
to have it fixed?

I would say it was related and drawing current, draining your battery. Your best bet is to have it properly repaired. AS far as cost, most of it is labor. Call a few garages in your area for some quotes. I would bet around $200
