2009 Explorer anti-theft alarmed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got my 2009 Ford Explorer out of the shop
they replaced the battery and some wiring it drove
home fine once I went to get into it again the anti-
theft alarm system started to go off I have the
correct keys I don't understand why it would
continue to go off now I am locked out from
turning the car on (my keys will unlock the doors
with the push button just fine). I don't know how to
turn anti-theft alarm off and or reset it. We have
tried unplugging the battery and leaving it off for
15 minutes and plugging it back in but as soon as I
unlock my car with the key buttons or when I try to
put my key in the ignition the alarm goes off what
do I do? Please help me.

It's usually a bad BCM that controls the anti theft system- and the entire SUV for that matter.... Usually, only the dealer has the computer program needed to replace it . Not something you can do on your own.... Expect a big bill for that if it's bad.
