How to turn the overdrive on in 2009 Toyota Rav 4

On the dashboard there is ODO
How do I turn it the overdrive back on? There is no
button on the gear selector like older models.
Turning the car off and back on does not work.

So the ODO that appears on the dashboard is pointless?
