It ended up being the fuel flow control module. After changing literally everything under the damn hood. It's a stupid gm design to put an electrical component behind the gas tank beside the axle. These apparently go bad frequently. Good luck. We are going to try and dump this chevy crap off somewhere. Lol

I changed it but I had to take it to a dealership to be programmed and it worked for 2 weeks. Only to discover that the three timing chains were also bad costume me another 2551.41 now it runs like a top! As far as chevys rolling turd goes.

My 2009 Traverse won't start until the 3rd or 4th try. This is a new, random event that began a few weeks ago for a couple days, stopped for a couple of weeks, then just started again last night and this morning. I ran my VIN through the NHTSA safety recall checker and my VIN came back with 0 recalls. I was hoping that maybe this fuel flow control module would be replaced and I'd be on my merry way but doesn't look like my vehicle was part of the recall. So off to the dealership to pay the $100 diagnostic fee to try and figure this out. I guess I should be thankful though. I bought my '09 Traverse in 2013 with 95k miles and a brand new engine. It's given me no issues until now.

Go to Auto Zone for a free battery check. Turned out my battery needed replacing and no issues ever since.

I took my battery out and it looks new but Autozone it was too dead to test . I bought a new battery, installed it and the car fired right up. Thank you JessicaKelly for replying.
