Beware!!!! I only had 97,000 miles on my 11 Impala when the transmission went out! Was making a grinding noise then one day just locked up. I replaced with a used transmission and now all of these warning lights are on...traction control, brakes, abs...and it dings and dings and dings. This car is obviously a total piece of crap AND the replacement transmission is already hesitating and shuttering. Thanks for the trash GM!

We had to replace our #1 spark plug and it cleared up. Strange I know.

Jesse, did you ever get yours fixed. Mine is doing what yours did. No grinding, just loss of power when accelerating and those 3 warning lights stabilitrak, traction control, and reduced power.

I don't know if this is why, but they do have some electrical bug that makes the traction control and ABS warnings come up on the information center. This will also make the traction control go on for no reason. I'm still trying to figure out why, but so far no luck. I've gone through a few different reasons people are saying like bad wheel bearing, ABS wire, etc... I do know that there is a class action suit against GM for this right now! I obviously have the same problem with those. I wonder if it's the same reason as most recalls, the china parts not being dependable like normal. The worst thing domestic companies did is mix domestic parts with foreign parts. Communication problems have made horrible problems for our domestic cars.

Guess for 2007 and 2008 models only. I gave a 2009. Replaced transmission, abs. Throttle position sensor and gas pedal and still have issues

I am having the same issue with my 2009 Impala. How can this be reported to Chevy as it's obviously Chevy issue?

They put out a service bulletin saying to discontinue using the E85 FlexFuel for awhile and run it only on ethanol fuel for a couple of tankfuls. The E85 is gunking up parts in the fuel system. I did this and it is practically back to normal. I’m done with E85.

Wiggle the sensor wire that goes into each front wire, after you clear the trouble code. There is often a short in the wire because of the wheels turning to the left and right again and again pulling on it. It's a $10 fix for a new wire set. Wiggling it if there is a short will instantly make the car throw the check engine light and the code.
