The door locks on my 2009 Chevy Impala are no longer locking, what could be my issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The vehicle's doors will not lock, by using either the key phobe or the lock buttons on
both driver and passenger door.  However if I lock all the door manually both the key
phobe and the door lock buttons will open them.  Also when I put the vehicle in reverse it
will no longer lock the doors either.  I checked my fuse and it appears to be fine and think
if it was bad locks would not unlock.

Check your fuses and relay. If all looks good, it could be a faulty BCM. Try Ebay for a new BCM (Body Control Module) you can get one for around $70.

Aron: where was the relay for the power door lock located? Which one did you replace? This is exactly what one of our cars is doing.

The relay should be in the fuse box under the dash, passenger side kick pannel, you can't miss it

My 2009 impala locks unlock when I put it in park and lock when I put it in Drive and only half work at random with the Key fob or door switch

I have the same or similar problem. Thought it was the acutators, but I replaced the drivers door and still nothing. I hear a clicking coming from the fuse panel indicting the relay is working, I am wondering if it is that PPCB, but the comments above wont say where it is. Does anyone know? or perhaps a part number to order???
