struts & shocks

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

advised I need to put 4 new struts and shocks on the '09 HHR front & back  Chevy with 103000 miles.  It is a 2-2 auto. Please, advise as to recommended parts and a cost for installation.

what brand would you use? Tom why approximate $1000? would like to keep car for another 40000 miles. thanks for your thoughts
