Ground alternator wire

The ground wire from the alternator burnt
in half how do I fix it

Post a picture please. I am wondering if you are referring to the alternator to battery "hot" wire.

I believe the ground for the alt. is the mounting bracket itself , something else is the problem and should be fixed (duh). alts' ain't cheap and the problem may have ruined yours ..

just saying if an alt. wire cooks somethings gone wrong for sure , but it works now , you've spliced the wire ?

Buy a new wire at AutoZone ask for a B+ alternator terminal then install one end on the alternator tip with a bolt screen and the other en to the positive terminal on the starter motor then jump start it or charge battery and problem should be fixed
