Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought this car 2 months ago.. I had to change the left
rear wheel bearing with rotars and breaks . its been driving
nice since then but today i was driving home and my abs,
brakes, and traction control lights came on along with my
speedometer jumping up and down .. It then all went away
back to normal but then did the same thing 2 more times
while driving home. Nothing felt different i didnt know why
it did that. I parked my car and now domt know what i
should do now. I used a scanner to diagnose it and it says it
failed for j1850 pwm and vpw and also says P0420 .
someone help .

j1850 pwm and vpw is not a code. Its a type of communication system with your car. codes start with a P like your PO420 Which is an o2 sensor problem. Im no expert but i think your j1850 pwm and vpw message means the scanner is not reading your cars computer. There are different kinds of scanners. make sure you are using the right one. If its the right one you may need a new pcm or have your old one re burned

PO420 is NOT an )2 sensor problem, but a flag for "insufficient cat conv efficiency" related to use of richer fuel used in PZEV states. Ignore it and reset before inspection time or bite the bullet and replace $1k front cat exhaust assy. Aftermarket cheapies will NOT work. This is completely unrelated to your brakes/wb work.
