I understand I'm going through the same thing I have a98 Acura 3.5 RL I just replaced the radiator I've replaced thermostat and it still overheating is not the water pump I'm just not sure what's going on the guy that worked my car said that everything was pretty much good but he said it could be the switch that's in the dashboard I have no idea what that is called plus my maintenance light is on

The blades on your water pump could be disenegrated to where its pumping but nothings really happening,ECT sensor could be unplugged, the pulley to your water pump could be skipping , take a multi metrr and with the key on check your dc voltage on the connector that plugs into the fan. It should read around 5v continuous. If it does bad fan of it doesnt bad connector etc.
