Used F-150

I just bought a used 2008 F-150. While doing my
research I see the spark plugs are a known issue.
Should I preemptively try to replace them and risk
breaking them? Or wait until they start having
issues then get into it? I'd like to be proactive but
just keep thinking, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Buy the extractor tool before trying to remove them. Soak the plug wells in penetrating oil overnight. Good luck!
