installing amp for subs

Asked by GuruHM6J6 Aug 09, 2019 at 10:06 PM about the 2008 Chrysler 300 Limited AWD

Question type: General

the reason why I ask the question about my charging system because the amp
that I am installing says my charging system needs to be producing at least 415
amps in order to satisfy the amp

1 Answer

I don't know of any alternator that produces 415 amps. I think you need several batteries (and big wire) to keep up with the amp. The highest I see online is 370 amps ($600).
