Check engine light comes on and off periodically code says cylinder 6 misfire then camshaft sensor. Has a new jasper engine with about 6000 miles . Could this be serious and what may be causing this.

well depending on the engine it could be a bad plug or wire or even a bad fuel injector or just a bad cam sensor and its loading up cylinder # 6....you can start by pulling out the spark plug and ohming out the plug wire if it has one if its coil on look for carbon tracks were the spark is going to ground or replace the cam sensor and take a chance that fixes it
