2007 Honda Accord loss of power rattling ion acceleration

I appreciate the feedback. I’m going to take it to the shop today and cross my fingers that it isn’t the cat converter because holy smokes that’ll be an expensive fix!!

There is a couple of things you can do besides purchasing a new one. Over time the cat converter will weld itself together so it probably is easier to have a new one put on. If you have time and tools to do it yourself, you can take it off and clean it. Soak it overnight in laundry detergent and it will clean out all the build-up. Or you can try the catalytic converter cleaner (ive never tried it before). Some say it works, some say it doesnt. You can also run a gallon of lacquer thinner through your tank when you have a half tank of gas and run it about 150 miles afterwards. It will burn all the impurities out, so i hear. Just a couple options for ya to try.
