Pontiac G6 air conditioner

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Pontiac G6. When I got the car
the air only worked on high. Then it stopped
blowing out strong but still had cold air
coming from vents. Then one day we turned
the adjuster knob from off to 4 and it went
completely out. And it no longer blew cold
air through the vents now it's just the air
from outside. So I have replaced every HVAC
fuse the fuses under hood and in car. I have
replaced the only blower relay I seen inside
the fuse box inside the car. I have replaced
the resistor behind the blower. Still no power
to the control panel. The AC or defrost lights
don't even turn on. I don't know what to do
next at this point. I was going to replace the
control panel to see if that fixes it. I need
input Because I can't afford a shop.

I have that same exact problem!! Little to nothing, then go to 4 (high) and it completely went out. The 2008 Pontiac G6-GT needs to be recalled. I wish I knew how we could get that going. The next thing that happened with, my exact car as your, '08 Pontiac G6- GT was now it no longer starts up at all. Literally, the car will not start!!! I have checked all fuses, even got a diagnostic test done. The test stated that the Oil Pressure Sensor was not getting any oil pressure, so the car will shut down rather than injure itself. After replacing a perfectly good oil pressure sensor with a brand new one, still no results. The car still will not start and we are working on 6 mos. now.

Okay so I replaced the resistor which fixed the 4 speeds. Then I found out that under the fan fuse it runs the air and it fixed the problem completely. You might want to check fuses under hood. There is also a fuse box in the trunk.
