What relay should I change on a Pontiac g6 for alternator

Asked by Kingkong1981 Nov 14, 2019 at 06:57 PM about the 2008 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: General

Changed alternator and battery and reusable link wire. Tested everything
mu!tiple times and all is supposedly good but battery light is still on. Reset
computer but it came back on. Need help. AutoZone says alt. Is charging
battery and battery is good but I'm nervous seeing battery light on. From
experience when it stays on that means alternator is bad or going bad

I would do a draw test ( Parasitic draw test ) to see if anything is drawing power when the car is not in use that would be a short. Also I would disconnect the positive cable and any positive connection disconnect, clean and reconnect especially the starter solenoid . I would do the same for all the ground wires I could locate especially the ground to the block and body.
