passenger air bag light always malfunctioning

why doesn't gm recall the 2008 cobalt for air bag problems and yet the recalled
the 2010 cobalt ? because there is definitely a problem ive had it service twice
for the same problem and my light still came on after 3 months for service

What did they do to service it? Replace the sensor under the passenger seat? Mine does that too and I understand that's where the problem lies. I also understand the sensor is pretty expensive, so in my case, at least for now, I just don't have a passenger side air bag. As for why GM doesn't recall them, I have no idea. We're gurus, not psychics.
