Why does the engine shuts down when shifted into drive?

Asked by Creekbird Nov 06, 2016 at 06:43 AM about the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car is running normal and when shifted into reverse it moves in that
direction as it should but when it is shifted into drive the engine dies. you can
move the car normally for any distance in reverse and it runs perfectly.
