Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving home from vacation. While an
hour into my travel and at 80mph; my car all
of a sudden stopped accelerating. Once I
pulled over and tried to take off again, it
would sputter as if it wanted to turn off. I
would let off the gas and press it again and it
would go, but would sputter when I would go
over 40mph. I let the car rest for about 30min
and drove the rest of the way home (45 min)
with no problem. Does anyone one have a
clue what could be wrong?

Some people seem to have been having issues with their throttle bodies being gunked up. They fix this by cleaning them (simple process/youtube it). Others have had them replaced. I might go that route as I couldn't fix the issue by cleaning it. As well clean your Maf sensors while you're at it. Good luck with yours.

The MAF sensors were replaced and was driven to Houston from College Station (100 miles distance) and back with no problem. Thank you!
