cruise control has been working for awhile and then quit even while being engaged, don't know were to look

Try do disconnect the battery for half an hour and then connect it again. Should be fine.... If not maybe a cable does not make a good connection...

It is a 1979 16 foot box truck. It is like it does not get any gas. I changed the fuel pump. The same thing happens.
