Temp gauge not working

Replaced the thermostat, as the code read it was no good. AC does not blow cold and the temp gauge does not even register

Most people forget about the radiator cap when they change the thermostat. Put a new cap on it and then I would look into the AC resistor on the fuse panel. Check it out, you might have to replace it from age. Good luck
