Asked by Guru8SM6M Jan 01, 2020 at 12:17 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. The antifreeze
keeps leaking from the passenger side somewhere
near the waterpump. Both tentioner intake coolant
elbowa have been replaced, new serpantine belt
(since it broke)  also replaced the thermostat and
new waterpump. Can't seem to figure out why jt
keeps leakinh all that antifreeze and quickly
overheating. Any suggestions? Pleass

Maybe another gasket is leaking? You need to check all the hoses. Maybe a heater hose or bypass hose? Hole or crack in the coolant reservoir?

TDolby Thank you! I will check and see what I can find. It's starting to irritate me as I am a single mother of 3 boys and just need this fixed asap since it's cold.

Plastic fittings around thermostat hoses. About 1/2" tubes. The plastic gets hairline cracks and leaks. Very simple fix. Autozone may help you see the problem. It's on top the engine on passenger side. Coolant evaporates so fast you don't see the problem.
