I bought my 2008 Taurus X with 56,000 miles on it and it is close to 210,000 now and it shows no signs slowing down. Drives just as well today as the day I bought it. I still rely on it for long road trips, too. I like the size of it and wish it was still manufactured. With the 6- speed transmission I get 24 mpg around town and 28 to 29 mpg on the highway. Hard to beat for this size car.

I have 240k on my 2008 FTX and I just found out that it will need a PTO change because it has begun to shake a bit. I pull a trailer with mine, so last year I put a Transmission in for around $1300. other than these repairs I have had this care since 2009 and its all I have invested in to it. I have gone to all the west coast states Mexico and Canada in it with great results. I would buy it again. I get around 21 mpg city and 23 mpg hwy. no regrets so far.
