Scraping noise

Asked by Isaac May 31, 2018 at 11:11 AM about the 2008 Ford Escape XLT V6 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When ever I put my 08 Escape into drive or reverse
it does not coast it just sits there and does not
move at all. Does this mean my calipers are locked
up and need to be replaced. Same thing for my
rotors and pads?

If it doesn't move at all it could be your throttle cable but I'm guessing you can rev it, but it might just be your alb actually locking. Put it on a jack and try to spin the wheel, if it spins it's not your brakes and if it does it could be your brake line is stuck and even with you pedal not pushed is the springs are compressed
