Wet Carpet, 2008 VUE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What would cause wet carpeting in a 2008 VUE

Where is the wet carpet? Passenger side in the front? Leaking heater core.

The frame has rusted to the point that the floor pan has rusted through. It rains, the car is driven and water works it’s way up through the holes in compromised floor. Carpet absorbing water like a sponge, spreading throughout the car. My daughter owns a 2008 Vue. I too, thought the problem was a leaking heater core. That would have been an easier fix, but it didn’t smell like anti-freeze. Further examination lead to poor design allowing water to collect and eventually rust key structural components of the frame. GM, shame on you!
