P0521 code Chevy V8

Asked by MoparMayhem Jan 10, 2019 at 07:54 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Impala SS FWD

Question type: General

I had the P0521 code come up so I replaced the
sensor, code came back a couple days later and
replaced it again this time with a new screen down
underneath it and it still comes back on occasion
but am noticing that it's coming up not long after
start up on colder days (like around ~25F above
zero and colder). I haven't noticed any oil light or
anything. Good oil level and pressure and is pretty
clean yet. I replaced the sensor myself both times.
The car seems to run perfectly fine with no lifter
tick that seems beyond normal. If it matters any, I
am run Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 high mileage oil
along with a Mobil 1 oil filter since the car has
140k miles

@FOR_is_a_cspos I'll try it, but if it were a connector issue, wouldnt it come back more frequently? Because when its colder out and I start the car, the light will come on after just a couple minutes then I will clear the code and doesnt seem to come back until the next day it seems. My drive to work seems to have always been fine, but its when I go to leave work is when it pops up
