Awhile back ago my check engine lights been on and when I checked it, it said gas
cap. I replaced the gas cap then It came back on a week later and it said it was gas
cap again. so I kept driving on it.  Eight months later I went to start the truck and it
kept cranking for like 10 sec then it eventually starts. When I was driving on the
highway going 65 the check engine light kept flashing and beeping until i slowed down
again.  I went to autozone and they tried connecting the obd and they said it wont link
so I took it to two other places and the same thing happened.  Please someone help

Do you mean the actual plug in thing or one of the wires that connects to it and its somewhere hidden and I have to find it.. Thank you for taking the time and answering!

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with the 4.7. The plugs for the 4.7 have a reach of 3/4". I believe my mechanic may have installed the plugs for the 5.7 hemi which are 1" in reach. My truck went into the shop perfectly fine and came out with the engine knocking. Is it possible that the 1/4" difference in length caused the pistons to strike the longer, incorrect plugs hence, that caused the knock? The shop admitted to me that the wrong plugs had been ordered. When asked if it was possible that they may have installed the incorrect ones, they told me that the thread size wasn't the same. Well, truth be told, it is the same size thread. i have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 sport with a 5.9 gas motor. im trying to figure out what trans i have in the truck. the tag under the hood says bd48. when i look that up it shows for a diesel. so im not sure what trans i have. i cant find any tags on the trans at all but on the bell housing does have 064-2 if that helps any 3 Answers

I have an 04 dodge ram quad cab 1500 4 wheel drive and when it has sat for a couple hours when you start it the oil pressure gauge doesn't move causing the check gauges light to come on. 2 Answers
