RX8 2005 Stalled, won't restart

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We just bought a 2005 RX8. Driving the car around fine, no stalling issues, no
overheating issues, no problems whatsoever. This morning the Oil light started
to come on and stay on and I went to the auto store and asked for suitable oil
for 2005 RX8 rotary engine. The counter guy directed me to Penrite Premium
Mineral for Rotary 5w-30. I topped up with 1 litre of this oild, I believe that is
approx. 25% of capacity. A few hours later, took the car for a drive, got 2.5km
from home and it just stalled and will not restart.
Is this a result of the oil I topped up with? I don't know what oil was previously
in the vehicle, this is my first rotary vehicle.
