Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I need to get my lower ball joints replaced so
I can get an alignment done my brakes
squeal and my shell jerks when I hit the
brakes I tried to get the alignment done
already but that’s when they told me I had to
get them replaced before I get an alignment ,
I have the parts , but they were trying to
charge me $500 labor and I know that’s not
right. If someone could tell me around how
much I should really be getting charged to
replace both lower ball joints please

The lower ball joints themselves have to be torched, then pressed out. Better to replace the whole control arm with the ball joints already installed, that way you have new control arm bushings too. $300 isn't bad for just the ball joints though, it's harder to do than the whole control arms.
