Well, I tried the only thing I could think of myself, and that was to disconnect the battery for a while, then connect it again. So it is working like it is supposed to. YAY!

Resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes may only be a temporary fix. Had the same thing happen to mine after getting a jump start, windows wouldn't roll down, no radio, gauges wouldn't work, AC wouldn't work, etc. The reset worked for awhile, then while driving, it did it again and the car stalled. Reset again and had the same issues after a few days. Apparently, the PCM is the problem, sometimes after getting a jump start it will cause these very symptoms until you take it to the dealer and have the computer flashed. That's my next step, now to just find the time to get it to the dealer. Ugh.

I pulled the radio fuse (15A) in the under the hood fuse box and it fixed it. Apparently the radio fuse is somehow interconnected to everything. I replaced the fuse and everything works again. 1.)Symptoms I had were as follows: 2.)Overhead A/C inoperative 3.)Dome lights wouldnt turn on when door was ajar. 4.)Radio wouldn't shut off after removing key from ignition and opening door. 5.) All speakers wouldn't put any sound out 6.) Door window buttons in the front were unable to move window up or down . 7.) Door lock buttons wouldn't lock or unlock vehicle 8.) Remote lock unlock feature inoperative. Hope this helps, I found nothing on the web for solutions pertaining to the exact solution so I just got lucky and wanted to share the knowledge.

Thank you Marshall!! You are a life saver!! I too recently had several issues after the battery was disconnected and I saw your suggestion and replaced the radio fuse (15A) under the hood....boom EVERYTHING started working like a charm!! These are a few of the issues I was having before replacing the radio fuse. 1) Heater not working...only cold air blowing out 2) no indoor/overhead dome lights when entering or leaving vehicle 3) windows were slow going up and down 4) overhead heater & a/c not working. Thanks again!! Mel M.

Thank you Marshall64E! The question I have is this: WHY? Why does a Jumpstart cause this and more importantly WHY does the Radio Fuse fix it? Inquiring Minds want to know.

I'm jumping in late here but I just bought a 2006 Tahoe. I had the no power locks, no power windows, no radio, no gauges and the battery would drain overnight. No lights on draining the battery. I have an aftermarket radio in it that doesn't work and when I pulled it out it has a steering wheel control adapter that gives the chime replacement too. I think because the chime and horn are key FOB responses, it has full time power. I removed the adapter and added a different power wire. I now have the radio but it only has rear speakers. I'll rewire them to bypass the chime feature. I think the signal is getting lost trying to do chimes without the adapter. The adapter is a GMOS-01. With the radio adapter out Everything is working except the front speakers. Like I say, I'll bypass the wires directly to the front door speakers. If the radio does 4 channels and the 4 door speakers work, maybe I'll replace the GMOS-01 adapter.
