Over heating on Chevy tahoe

My 05 Tahoe has normal temp when
it's just idling but as soon as I start
going down the road the temp shoots
up to hot
We've replace termastat and water
pump. What would make it do that?

Are your radiator fans working properly? If not that can be it. Or have Yu checked your cooling system for leaks? If not, do so. Sounds like maybe your water pump isn't working if all else is good. Check and see if your water pump needs to be replaced, if so do it. If you do the work yourself, remember to always bleed your cooling system after working on it so that there's no air where water should be.

Also keep in mind that just because there is no leak on the floor it doesn't necessarily mean that there is no leak. It can be falling on the hot engine block and evaporate before it hits the ground.

I had that problem on a 73 road runner did everything you did finally I changed the tranny filter and that fixed it
