2003 Ford Explorer xLS 4.0 antifreeze leak shows up after setting on carport. when drive temp gauge come up about a quarter of the way up then drops to cold

antifreeze puddle under truck on carport. drive truck in the morning temp gauge goes to
1/4 mark then drops to cold. can not see leak just drips about center of frame juat be hind
radiator. I had just put a new radiator on truck do to leak. now this

Had fits finding the leak in my 2003 4.0. Mine was coming from the plastic housing the upper radiator hose connects to. It's right in front by the intake manifold. The only thing keeping it from leaking is a very thin o ring on the botton of the housing. It could also be cracked. Get a pressure tester from your local auto parts store. Once you pump it up the pressure, you'll see the leak.

Hopefully it is not the waterpump on the v6. They are not easy to change. Taking the fan off first is the hard part, then twelve or thirteen bolts.
