Oil pressure light

Hey Jim, thank you again, great info by the way. I did bring the car in to get this problem check out and got a oil change, oil pan clean, pick up tube clean last week, after leaving the shop drove a few miles up the road and it came back on. I will get the oil pan drop again and see if there's any thing wrong with the oil pump. The guy did say the oil cooler looks like it's leaking can that be the problem or part of it ? Thanks again.

And the light only comes on when I'm driving.

Damn where you been this who time. Lol lol lol lol. Thank you again Jim, so first I shoul take care of the oil cooler then see what happens, or just change them both ?

One more thing I forgot to mention Jim, when the guy took down the oil pan he did say there was metal shavings in the pan. Any idea ?

hi my name is johnell and i am having the same issue with the oil pressure on my 2009 audi a4 b8 i have'd change the engine oil pump oip pressue sensor and still have the problem. i realy like audi but i cant fix the problem going on two years

I also have a 2009 A4 B8...same issues. I am going to replace the pressure sensor, PCV gasket and of course oil and filter. And since our cars didnt come with a dipstick, I'm getting on of those too. But I'm curious, does anyone know if I can get a brush in the oil pan to scrub on the pickup tube screen?..or will i have to drop the pan to do it??

Hi I have 2002 a4 it was doing the same all i did was to flush the engine with engine flush ,clean pick up ,new oil ,oil filter and the problem was fixed no red oil light any more.

Hi, i have overhauled my 1.8T engine, changed all gaskets, seals, piston rings, bearings, all PCV system. No oil leaks, no smokes in exhaust system. After i drove 500miles nice and easy , i got oil presure red light on but just when im driving on low rpms, if i drive over 2500rpms, the light dissapeares. the oil is new and transparent, the oil level (i'd say 95% to max level on dip stick). Can someone tell me whats the issue? I repeat. i have no oil leaks and level is good and engine is overhault. Cheers guys !!!

I have a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T the turbo pipe on the flexible part the turbo side was leaking, we sorted out the problem but on the side we realised there was a heavy leak after assembling the pipe, we have sorted that one by removing the filter housing and made new threads and fitted it back,the leakage is gone but now its the oil pressure light when I took it for a test drive 1km stopped the engine and bought extra oil to put, the light came off and resurfaced just after 500 m have checked the oil, it is actually over the limit because of the top up that I made. Please help a brother
