Fuel milage
My escape is getting 8 mpg. I don't have the
money to put it in the shop so I'm helping
y'all can give me some ideas of want to
check there's stuff under this food that I
don't have a clue what it is. But then again I
grew up driving an old 3 on the tree in the
sixties. Somebody help me please thank you
Plain and simple....it needs to go to a qualified mechanic. Throwing parts at the problem will cost more in the long run than taking it to a mechanic.
Check engine light's been on for 4 years Looked at spark plugs location & said no way!! I bought it from my mom& she bought it used. I worked auto auctions & hooked it up to the computer analysis tool & it looked like it was the check engine sensor, but it still got good mileage then(2012) last road trip from Washington state, pulling a u- haul,to Amarillo in 2016, still good mileage. Between March of' 16- now it has plumetted. In this picture I can identity everything except a black rectangular box where the big air hose bends under the tiny hose. For some reason I believe that has something to do with the problem as well as needing a tune up.
