transmission problem with 2007 ford escape.

Asked by ridinsolo Sep 07, 2014 at 02:13 PM about the 2007 Ford Escape XLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I pulled out of the store and the transmission started whining.  It wouldn't shift until I hit approx 40 miles and hour and the o/d light had started blinking.. When I turned the car off the o/d light seemed to reset but the shifting problem continued.  could it be a sensor or did something snap inside the transmission.?

4wd light flashing** check the tone ring on the cv axle. My driver side cv axle had broken.. I'm still having troubles when doing 40mph, and it feels like my front end slips a bit. Any ideas???
