Why does my brake light keep coming on and off?

My brake light keeps coming on and off while I drive.
Brakes are only a year old and I added more brake fluid and
no change.

There's a switch mounted to the brake pedal lever arm that is likely failing. It's called a Brake Pedal Position Switch. It's what makes the brake lights turn on. Sometimes all it takes is a little adjusting of it's position to fix a problem like yours.
