Transmission swap

You might have 2 different issues. The 97-98 year difference could have changed the way the transmission is controlled, or the unit you just installed could be bad. What was the reason for replacement? Was it the famous Honda V6 transmission problem?
The transmission we put in was good it's from a different car we owned might my question is how do I get the new transmission to operate properly in the later year car. Guess what are my options to get it to operate properly without having to pull it and get a different tranny
Is this transmission displaying the same behavior as the unit it replaced? Did you flush out all of the cooler lines and properly refill the unit with the correct Honda transmission fluid? Are all of the sensors plugged back in? On the older Honda/Acura models the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) was what the transmission used to determine shifting times/pattern. A faulty TPS could cause gear hang, due to the transmission not being able to determine proper shift points. That's why I need some more info about the actual swap itself. What made you swap the box out?
